Freebird Airlines Refuses Written Delay Documentation Following Late Landing

I would like to state the hardship I experienced regarding my Freebird Airlines flight FH8501 on May 24, 2026. I, Sedat S***, had to fly urgently because my mother fell ill on May 14, 2026, and I made a firm agreement with my workplace that I would return on May 24 and be at work by 6:30 AM on May 25, 2026.

Although the plane was scheduled to land at 2:20 AM, we were only verbally informed that a bird strike had occurred and that there was a flight constraint as a result. No written document, email, or SMS notification was provided. Consequently, the aircraft landed at approximately 6:10 AM instead of the scheduled time. Because I was unable to get to work on time, I was given a 2-day unpaid suspension by my employer, which resulted in a financial loss of at least €400 in income for me. Furthermore, my friend came to the airport at 2:00 AM to pick me up and was forced to wait there until 6:00 AM.

Because this flight delay directly led to my inability to attend work and resulted in a 2-day unpaid suspension, I demand that my hardship be taken into account and that the responsibility for my lost income not be left on my shoulders. I request that passengers be provided with transparent written disclosures regarding flight delays and their root causes, that necessary investigations be conducted to prevent similar hardships from recurring, and that my losses be fully compensated.
