My father recently discovered that a FitMe service subscription had been opened on his Turkcell line without his permission or approval. This subscription has been active since November, resulting in charges for five consecutive months. He only became aware of it on March 8, 2025, after receiving a message stating that ₺229 had been added to his bill for FitMe.
Upon realizing the issue, he immediately contacted Turkcell’s customer service and had the subscription canceled. However, the fact remains that these charges were applied without consent, and the service was never used. It is unacceptable for a telecom provider to allow third-party subscriptions to be added without explicit customer authorization.
We demand a full refund of all unauthorized FitMe charges from November until cancellation, as well as a clear explanation of how this subscription was activated without consent. If this matter is not resolved promptly, complaints will be filed with CİMER, the Consumer Rights Authority, and other relevant regulatory bodies. Turkcell must protect its customers from such unauthorized billing practices.
