Hello, I’ve been trying to set up Google’s Family Link on my phone to manage my child’s device, but I keep running into the same problem over and over. I can see my child’s name listed in the app, and I’m able to access the “Controls” section to apply restrictions. However, when I try to monitor screen time, location, or other features, I get a message saying “Add device.”
No matter how many times I try, the child’s device never gets linked properly. I’ve followed the steps: I take the child’s phone, go to Settings > Google > Parental Controls, but it just freezes or doesn’t move forward during setup. I’m left stuck at the same screen.
It also says I need to download “Family Link for Children and Teens,” but when I search the Play Store, I only find one version of Family Link—the one for parents. I can’t figure out what I’m missing or whether I need to manually install something else.
