Electrolux EW7H458ST Dryer Design Flaw Led To Water Leakage And Extra Costs For Me
On 21.01.2023, I bought an Electrolux brand EW7H458ST model dryer from Media Markt. When the machine took the laundry out without drying and leaked water, I called the service because the product was under warranty. It was stated that water had accumulated in the heat exchanger filter area and that the heat exchanger filter should be cleaned every 6 months, that they would take the device and that the service should do this process. The process was out of warranty and a fee of ₺2000 was requested for this process. I would also like to share that no information was given about this issue when purchasing the device or that there was no informative text in the brochures indicating the features of the device. It is obvious that there is a defect in the design and operating principle of the device. Since there is no other way for the end user other than service, the product should be returned or replaced with a model that does not have this problem. Although it is a home-type machine, it is a great commercial shame to put the responsibility and cost on the end user, it is obvious that the consumer has not made the slightest mistake. I would like to share that the Electrolux brand must find a solution to this issue, otherwise I will apply to the official authorities, and if the problem is not resolved, I will apply to the court.
