eDreams Flight Rerouted Without Notification
I made a flight booking through the eDreams website with Lufthansa for travel on 15 July 2026 under the reference XFQQNM. The original booking was from Newcastle, but Lufthansa has cancelled and rerouted the flight so that it now departs from Manchester, which is more than four hours away from my original departure airport. I was not informed of this change in advance by eDreams and only discovered it myself. Since noticing the change, I have been trying to contact eDreams to understand my options and request a more reasonable solution. The AI chat system just goes round in circles without giving any concrete help, and I have been on hold on the phone to eDreams for more than an hour without getting through to a real agent. So far, I have not contacted Lufthansa directly, as I expected the agency I booked with to handle this properly. I have paid approximately £170 for this booking and I find it unacceptable that such a significant change of departure airport was made without clear communication or support. I am requesting that eDreams arranges a free rerouting from a closer airport, ideally Edinburgh, instead of Manchester, or provides an alternative solution that does not require me to travel several hours to another airport. I kindly ask for this issue to be reviewed urgently and for clear, written confirmation of my options and the proposed resolution.
