DS Damat Charged Me for Items They Claimed Were Complimentary with My Suit Purchase
I just bought a suit from the DS Damat store at the Mall of Istanbul. I went to the store, and they told me I’d get a free perfume and some socks with my purchase, so they tossed them in the bag for me. I was like, “Awesome!” When I got home and looked at the invoice, I was really surprised to see that they charged ₺600 for the perfume and ₺160 for the socks. Well, that was a real "gift," wasn't it? When I went back to the store to ask about it, they told me some stories about how the system handled it differently. I decided not to take the issue further to keep things simple, but it was really disappointing. Just a quick reminder—make sure to double-check before accepting any “gifts.”
