Costext.com Failed to Send My SMS and Charged Me Twice Without Authorization
On June 1, 2026, at 8:53 p.m., I purchased an SMS sending service through Costext.com for 9.99 TL, approximately $0.21. The payment was charged to my İş Bankası Maximum credit card with the transaction description “syncsoftv+18888289925 Kowloon City hk / Books, Music, Games, DVDs, etc.” At the same time, I received an email at i***********@hotmail.com stating that my account had been activated.
Despite receiving confirmation that my account was activated, when I requested that an SMS be sent to the phone number 0536 *** ** 80, the SMS was never delivered. In addition, the system automatically subscribed me to a plan without my authorization and charged my account another 9.99 TL, approximately $0.21. In other words, I did not receive the service I paid for, and I was also subscribed to a plan without my consent and charged a second time.
I contacted tryhelp through the support section of the website regarding this issue. Even after verifying my email address, they only showed me my purchase information. When I requested that my plan be canceled, they provided no actual solution and instead sent an automated response stating, “I’m happy to provide the service, let me know if I can help with anything else.” My subscription was not canceled.
Since I was unable to actually use the service, the SMS I requested was never sent, and I was subscribed to a plan without my authorization and charged twice, I request a full refund of both the initial 9.99 TL charge and the subsequent 9.99 TL charge, totaling approximately $0.41. I also request the immediate cancellation of all plans and subscriptions opened through Costext.com.
