On March 17, I purchased a shirt from the Columbia store located in Metropol Ataşehir Mall for $200 and had it gift-wrapped. Since the person I bought the gift for lives abroad, I was only able to deliver it on April 27. However, the recipient did not like the item and declined the gift.
The next day, on April 28, I went back to the same store to request an exchange. At the register, I was told that the exchange period had expired, and my request was denied. However, at the time of purchase, I was clearly informed that there was a 30-day exchange policy, and I brought my receipt with me.
When I contacted customer service, I was told that the store manager or regional manager could make a decision. However, the store staff claimed the purchase was not visible in the system and refused to assist me, even though I had the receipt.
Despite having the product gift-wrapped and presenting a valid receipt, I encountered a very rigid and unhelpful approach, which was disappointing. I kindly request that the Columbia Metropol Ataşehir store process an exchange for the shirt and provide a customer-oriented solution.
