Citroen Seller Entered Wrong Chassis Number, Leaving Berlingo Uninsured for a Year

3

I bought a 2025 Citroen Berlingo from Çetaş Bayrampaşa and due to the wrong chassis number being entered by the company, I found out during the renewal process on 19.10.2026 that my vehicle had been without valid traffic insurance and comprehensive insurance for about one year. During this entire period, I was unknowingly driving an uninsured and non‑comprehensively insured vehicle. In this time, I was constantly at risk of receiving a fine in any traffic control, and if I had been involved in an accident, I would have suffered financial and moral damage because there was no valid comprehensive insurance on my actual vehicle. Furthermore, during the vehicle inspection, my appointment was cancelled because there was no valid insurance, I had to enter the inspection late and I paid an increased inspection fee. Due to the mistake of Çetaş Bayrampaşa in entering the chassis number and the one‑year period I was left without proper insurance and comprehensive cover, I request that the full cost of my new traffic insurance and comprehensive insurance be covered by Çetaş. I expect my grievance, including the financial loss I have incurred, to be resolved promptly and in good faith and I would like to be informed in writing about the steps to be taken.
