I own a Chery Tiggo 8 Pro that I purchased in China and currently use in Ghana. Over the past six months, I have been experiencing a recurring issue with the infotainment and camera system that is affecting both my driving comfort and safety.
During normal use, the infotainment system sometimes shuts down completely, and the cameras stop responding. When I shift into reverse or turn the steering wheel left or right, the screens occasionally go blank instead of displaying the camera views and system menus. This does not happen every time, but it now occurs in about 7 out of every 20 drives. The system only starts working again after the car has been turned off for a while, which is both inconvenient and concerning.
In addition, the vehicle’s AI assistant remains in Chinese, even though the system language is set to English. This prevents me from properly using or understanding the voice assistant features and significantly reduces the usability of the system.
Since there is no official Chery dealership or service center in my area in Ghana, I am unable to have the vehicle inspected by an authorized technician. Therefore, I am requesting support in the form of a software update or any remote solution that can resolve the issue with the screens and cameras going blank and fully switch the AI assistant language to English.
I would appreciate clear instructions, updated software, or any other assistance to ensure that the multimedia and camera system operates reliably and safely.
