Face verification is used by Chamet for many hosts, especially those who are earning rewards or live streaming, to make sure that the person in front of the camera is the same person who uploaded the picture ID.
This helps cut down on fake or scam profiles by needing a real person. Usually, hosts can't cash out their earnings or use higher-level features if the face verification fails or is skipped.
Chamet also checks people's faces and needs phone verification (via SMS) to sign up. In "high-risk" cases, the company says it will manually review content when it notices suspicious behavior.
This means that profiles that have been marked as possibly breaking the rules may be looked over by staff before they are fully accepted.
