I Face Fraud After Ordering from a Fake Asics Website Claiming 70% Discount
I was misled by a website that appeared to be an official Asics store, advertising a 70% discount. Trusting the promotion, I placed an order and received the confirmation number 4805250715153008876. However, I later realized the site was fraudulent and had no affiliation with the real Asics brand.
The order provided no valid shipping details, and there's no way to track the delivery. I immediately reported the issue to Garanti BBVA and canceled my credit card, but since the transaction is still in the authorization phase, I haven’t been able to stop the payment yet.
This situation has caused significant stress, and I believe Asics must take action. The brand should issue a public warning about these fraudulent websites and work to have them taken down. These scams not only harm consumers but also damage the reputation of trusted brands like Asics.
I’m urging Asics to step in and protect its customers by actively monitoring for copycat websites and working with payment providers to prevent further victims. I also hope my bank will fully investigate and reverse the charge. No one should be left dealing with the fallout of a scam like this.
