Arçelik 284630 EI Refrigerator Odor And Noise Defect Not Resolved

On 08.08.2023, I purchased an Arçelik 284630 EI 84 cm inox combi refrigerator, with invoice number BIC2023000000797. Although my refrigerator is still under warranty, I haven’t been able to use it for even a full year without problems. In December 2024, the refrigerator began to emit a strong odor, so I requested Arçelik service. The technician who came said there was no issue and instead tried to sell me products. When I repeated my complaint, they came again, cleaned the refrigerator, and the odor was temporarily resolved. However, before even one year had passed, in August 2025 I had to call the service again due to both odor and noise issues. They came once more and temporarily fixed the sound and odor. About a month later, the odor returned, and this time it became so intense that I couldn’t even open the door. When I requested service again, the team that came said there was nothing more they could do and left without offering any solution. I stated that since my refrigerator is under warranty and I have been unable to use it properly from the beginning, the product is defective, and I want it replaced. The service said they would report it to the factory and that I would receive a positive or negative response. About a week later, I was contacted and told that no action could be taken, that the refrigerator could only be replaced for a fee, and that the issue was “user error.” It makes no sense to call this user error when the refrigerator produces such a severe odor in less than a year and is temporarily fixed each time by the service. If it were truly user error, they would not correct the issue at every visit. At this point, I cannot use my refrigerator; the product I paid ₺34,000 for is essentially unusable, and neither Arçelik nor the factory is addressing my problem—instead, they continue trying to sell me materials and charge me fees. I request that my refrigerator be evaluated as a defective product and replaced free of charge, or that the odor and noise issues be permanently resolved without cost. I demand an urgent and permanent solution to this problem; otherwise, I will pursue my legal rights through the Consumer Court and relevant authorities.
