My MacBook Air M1 Restarts Automatically Every Time I Open the Screen

I’ve had my MacBook Air M1 for just 2 days, and every time I open the screen, it restarts on its own. I haven’t touched the power button at all—it just turns on automatically when I lift the lid. I’m not sure if this is a defect or a feature, but it’s been happening since I bought it, and it’s really frustrating. I expected better functionality from a brand-new laptop. Apple needs to clarify whether this is an issue with the device or a feature, and I’d like support to help resolve this problem as soon as possible. A brand-new product shouldn’t behave like this right out of the box.
