Apple iPhone 11 Voltage Trouble, Shocking Repair Bills
my iPhone 11, 64 GB version still under warranty, so I sent it in for repairs, the verdict was that because I charged it in places with supposedly high voltage, a bunch of stuff went haywire – like the main board, screen, battery, you name it. The fixer-upper folks at Mobilfix hit me up with a whopping repair bill of 7 grand TL. apparently, I'm supposed to be a voltage expert and carry around a voltage meter wherever I go, just to make sure my phone gets charged right. Hold on a sec, isn't that their job? of course not, who are they tech guys??? They hit me with a service fee of 550 TL, and I gotta cover the shipping, too. So, where's the warranty hiding in all of this mess? I ain't no tech wizard, but this ain't how it's supposed to work. People pay good money for these devices, expecting some sort of protection, right? But here we are, phones turning into high-voltage victims. I mean, I didn't charge my phone at some crazy transformer station, just at home and work. How was I supposed to know there's some secret code to charging without blowing up my phone?
