On May 9, 2024, while in Hannover, Germany, I fell ill and was urgently admitted to the hospital in connection with my overseas travel health insurance policy number 1207189224. As a result, I incurred an expense of 100 Euros. I submitted all the relevant documents to the company. However, I received the following response: "The claim has been denied due to the refusal of treatment and the inability to provide a final diagnosis as a result of leaving without following medical advice, leading to insufficient data/information for medical evaluation." The final diagnosis was detailed in the German report. Moreover, there is no clause in the policy regarding the refusal of treatment. According to our laws, a patient can refuse treatment. Due to our flight being the next day, the potential increase in treatment costs, and uncertainty about whether the expenses would be covered, I was compelled to leave. Additionally, continuing treatment in Turkey has been beneficial for Anadolu Sigorta. In accordance with the policy provision that requires the insured to take necessary measures to prevent loss to the company, I have fulfilled this obligation. Based on humanitarian company policies and the terms of the policy, I request reimbursement of my expenses.
