Anadolu Sigorta Denied Reimbursement for Medical Expenses in Germany

I fell ill on May 9, 2024, in Hannover, Germany, during my trip abroad, covered by travel health insurance policy number 1207189224. I was urgently hospitalized, incurring expenses of €100. Despite submitting all required documents, the company's response was: "The final diagnosis could not be made due to the refusal of treatment and leaving without following medical advice, resulting in incomplete data/information for medical evaluation, thus the compensation claim is denied." The final diagnosis was clearly stated in the German report. Additionally, the policy does not contain any clause regarding the refusal of treatment, and according to our laws, patients can refuse treatment. Due to our flight being the next day, the uncertainty of whether the treatment expenses would be covered, and the increasing costs of treatment, I had no choice. Furthermore, continuing treatment in Turkey would have been beneficial for Anadolu Sigorta. Therefore, the provision requiring the insured party to take necessary precautions to prevent the company from incurring losses has been fulfilled. I request reimbursement of our expenses in accordance with the company's humane policies and policy terms.
