To the General Directorate of Akbank, on 15–16 October 2025 I called Akbank customer services to close my credit card, and the representative informed me that if I kept the card open and spent ₺3,000 per month, I would receive ₺1,149.50 Chip-para every month for 12 months. To avoid any misunderstanding, I explicitly asked whether ₺1,149.50 Chip-para would be paid each month for 12 months—totalling approximately ₺13–14 thousand—and whether this was a definite commitment, and the representative confirmed it. Relying on this assurance, I kept the card open, continued using it, and maintained my automatic payment orders. The first Chip-para was credited on 17 October 2025, and I met the ₺3,000 spending requirement; however, no Chip-para was credited the following month. When I called again, I was told the campaign was only valid for one month. I requested that the call recordings be reviewed and a complaint was opened under number 8025307770, but the response I received merely repeated that the campaign was limited to one month. My objection is that during the call I was clearly told that Chip-para would be paid every month for 12 months, and I kept the card and continued spending based on this promise. This is misleading, affects the customer’s economic decision, and undermines trust. Therefore, I request that the relevant call recordings be thoroughly reviewed, the representative’s statements confirming a 12-month Chip-para commitment be identified, and all Chip-para amounts that should have been paid for the 12-month period be fully credited to my account or paid to me in monetary form. Otherwise, due to this misleading information and the failure to honour the commitment, I will file complaints with the Consumer Arbitration Board, the BRSA, and other relevant authorities. Yours faithfully.
