Paytm Verification Deducts ₹5000 From Airtel Payments Bank Account With No Refund
I am filing a complaint regarding multiple debits from my Airtel Payments Bank account during a Paytm verification process, for which I have still not received any refund.
While trying to complete verification on Paytm, a total of ₹5000 was deducted from my Airtel Payments Bank account linked to the mobile number 83740988**. The deductions occurred in three separate transactions: ₹1000 once, ₹2000 once, and ₹2000 once, making a total deduction of ₹5000. For example, one of the debits of ₹1000 occurred on March 1 at around 7:48 PM.
Despite these debits, the verification process did not complete properly, and the amount has not been returned to my account. I contacted customer support and was informed that the issue was a “payment successful match issue” and not related to the bank. However, my money has still not been refunded, and several days have passed since the transactions.
At this point, I feel stuck between Airtel Payments Bank and Paytm, while ₹5000 of my money remains blocked. I request that the full amount of ₹5000 deducted during this failed verification process be immediately refunded to my Airtel Payments Bank account linked to mobile number 83740988**. I also request a clear explanation of why this issue occurred and why the refund has been delayed.
The amount has not been credited to my bank account.
