Zara Unauthorized Charges On My Card
On 15.04.2026 at 10:24 and 10:38, I learned that two online purchases had been made via Zara with my VakıfBank Worldcard, without my knowledge or consent. My card’s last 4 digits are 8024, and there are unauthorized transactions totaling approximately ₺14,258 consisting of one transaction of ₺10,509 and another of ₺3,749. During the time these purchases were made, my physical card was with me. When I contacted Zara, I was informed that “the necessary measures have been taken, and since the order has been delivered to the recipient, we cannot process a refund.” However, I did not make these transactions, I did not approve them in any way, and I do not accept responsibility for these charges. I find it unacceptable, both in terms of security and customer satisfaction, that my grievance is not resolved merely on the grounds that the order has been delivered to the recipient. On 15.04.2026 at 17:51, I contacted VakıfBank regarding these unauthorized transactions. I was told to go to the nearest branch early the next day and submit a written objection. I went to the branch and submitted my written petition and provided all requested documents and information. I was then informed that the matter is under investigation. Despite this, the total amount of ₺14,258 still appears as a charge on my card. I request that the unauthorized transactions made via Zara with my VakıfBank Worldcard be urgently investigated, that I be cleared of any responsibility for these transactions that I did not perform or approve, and that the total amount of ₺14,258 be refunded to my account, and that all necessary measures be taken to prevent similar security breaches in the future.
