I Face Yemeksepeti Order Not Delivered and Cannot Cancel After Payment
On April 10, 2026, at 01:44 AM, I placed an online order through Yemeksepeti from a döner restaurant in Çekmeköy, Istanbul, with order number #fq96-2615-g91w, totaling $14. I paid for the order online. At the time of ordering, the estimated delivery time was shown as 02:15–02:25 AM.
Although the restaurant later indicated that the food was ready and waiting, the courier never arrived, and the order status in the app continued to show as “preparing.” The estimated delivery time was later pushed back to 03:15–03:25 AM, forcing me to wait for a long time late at night.
Despite the order never being delivered, I was unable to cancel it through the help center because the system did not allow cancellation while the status remained “preparing.” This left me unnecessarily awake and waiting at a very late hour. I attempted to cancel through the in-app help center but could not complete the process. I even considered calling customer service and searched for their number on Google, but I saw similar complaints and decided not to proceed.
As a customer who paid in advance and did not receive the service, I experienced inconvenience both due to the delayed delivery and the inability to cancel my order. I request that this order be canceled, that the full $14 I paid online be refunded, and that this flawed process—where customers are forced to wait for hours and cannot cancel undelivered orders—be reviewed to prevent similar issues in the future.
