Yapı Kredi ATM Cash Shortage Happens Almost Every Saturday

On July 25, 2026, I went to the Yapı Kredi ATM on Hürriyet Street in Ödemiş, İzmir to withdraw cash before going to the local market. After inserting my bank card and attempting to complete the transaction, the ATM displayed a "No Cash Available" message and showed a list of nearby ATMs where I could withdraw money instead.

As a result, I was unable to withdraw cash at that time and had to walk for approximately 30 minutes to another bank's ATM. Because of this delay, I missed the market and experienced unnecessary inconvenience and a significant loss of time. I was not the only person affected that day—my spouse and several friends also tried to withdraw cash from the same ATM and encountered the same problem.

Later that day, I received a text message from Yapı Kredi stating: "We detected that you were unable to complete your cash withdrawal. For your cash needs, you can withdraw up to ₺1,000 free of charge in a single transaction from another bank's ATM within 24 hours." While this temporary solution was offered, it does not address the underlying problem.

Unfortunately, this issue occurs almost every Saturday, causing repeated inconvenience and wasted time. I respectfully request that Yapı Kredi ensure this ATM on Hürriyet Street in Ödemiş is stocked with sufficient cash on a regular basis. I also request an explanation and an apology regarding this recurring issue, along with a permanent solution to prevent it from happening again.
