Wise Unauthorized Transfer of 775.10: Refund and Account Fraud Investigation
On 16 September 2026 I was the victim of fraud on my Wise account. Someone gained unauthorized access to my account and sent my entire disability support pension of 775.10 to a person named K E G***, without my knowledge or consent. Since then I have contacted Wise customer support countless times. Instead of helping, they have limited my contact to email only and even warned that if I send more emails asking about my money, it will push my case to the back of the line. I have emails from Wise stating this. Despite the seriousness of the situation, I still have no clear solution, no refund and no meaningful progress on my case. Because this was my whole disability support pension, since 16 September I have had no money for food, toiletries, cleaning products or other basic essentials for myself or my dog. I am disabled and this situation has left me in a desperate and distressing state and in clear financial hardship. The ongoing lack of support from Wise has caused extreme stress and trauma. I have reached the point of self‑harm and feeling suicidal because of how this has been handled. I have also filed complaints with AFCA and ASIC regarding this incident and Wise’s response so far. My Wise membership number is P97403***. I request an urgent and thorough investigation into this unauthorized access and transfer, a full refund of the 775.10 that was taken, and appropriate compensation for the severe stress, trauma and financial hardship I have suffered as a result of Wise’s handling of this situation. I also expect a clear explanation of how this happened and what security measures will be taken so that this does not occur again.
