WhatsApp Disabled My Account Without Notice After Sharing a News Report
On Tuesday, October 7, at around 8:00 PM, my WhatsApp account on my Samsung M51 smartphone was suddenly disabled without any prior warning. The app displayed the message: “This account can no longer be used.” My account was linked to the phone number +90 0505 765 **01.
I work in international journalism and manage all my professional communications through WhatsApp. I strongly suspect that my account was deactivated because of a news story I shared, but I received no explanation or notice from WhatsApp.
I contacted the WhatsApp support team regarding the issue and only received an automated email reply saying they would get back to me. Since then, there has been no follow-up or clarification. My account is a regular personal account — I have not made any payments, nor do I use WhatsApp Business. I have also never experienced such a problem before.
Disabling user accounts without any prior notice causes serious harm, especially for professionals who depend on WhatsApp for their work. I request that my account be urgently reactivated and that a detailed explanation be provided regarding the reason for its suspension.
