I recently changed my phone number but forgot to deactivate my old WhatsApp account. As a result, my name, profile photo, and other personal information are still visible on that account. This is a serious privacy issue, because if that old number is reassigned to someone else—and they install WhatsApp—they will have access to my previous data.
I’m extremely worried that a stranger could see my private information, impersonate me, or misuse my identity. This should never be possible with a platform that claims to prioritize user security.
