First, make sure that your app is up-to-date and that the bank card you added can be used anywhere in the world.
Some Chinese cards or wallets may not work outside of China because of rules in that area. To check the state of your card or add a new one, go to Me > WeChat Pay > Wallet.
Also, make sure that the language and region choices on your phone match your payment profile.
Remove and re-add your payment method or switch to a different card (preferably a foreign one) if the problem still happens.
If you're using a number from outside of China, keep in mind that WeChat Pay may not work as well because of local rules and relationships.
Some users from other countries can now link their Visa, Mastercard, or JCB cards. However, the benefits may be different depending on the country.
