WeChat Account Creation Fails Due to 6-Month QR Code Rule
When I try to create a new WeChat account, I constantly encounter a QR code verification screen at the final step of registration. The app requires that the code be scanned by a WeChat user who has had an active account for more than 6 months. Since finding someone who meets these criteria in Turkey is nearly impossible, I have been trying unsuccessfully to open my account for about 5 hours.
I also tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but the issue persists. I live in Kocaeli, Turkey, and I have not made any payments during this registration attempt.
I request that WeChat remove this restrictive QR code verification system for new users in Turkey or offer a more accessible alternative verification method, such as SMS, email, or ID verification, so users can create accounts without depending on existing users.
