Viagogo Ticket Failure At Champions League - QR Code Rejected, Forced To Rebuy
I would like to describe an unfortunate situation that occurred when I attended a UEFA Champions League football match using a ticket purchased from Viagogo for €160.30 (Order ID: 626920035). When I tried to enter the stadium through the turnstiles, I was unable to pass through any of the five gates. The ticket with the QR code downloaded to my iPhone was not recognized by any of the scanners. Then I took out the printed paper version of the ticket and tried to scan it, but the turnstiles still did not let me through. I then approached the stadium box office staff, who tried to verify the authenticity of both the digital and printed tickets using their own scanner, but they were also unable to confirm the ticket’s validity. At the box office, I was offered to purchase a new ticket for the same seat and section. I agreed and paid an additional €100 for a new ticket, with which I successfully entered the stadium and enjoyed the match. I had specially flown from Riga (Latvia) to Munich, as I am a long-time Bayern Munich supporter. I kindly ask you to restore fairness and refund the money I spent. Thank you for your understanding.
