I’m a Valorant player and my in-game username is S2GAbay#9496. Today, I queued up for an unrated match on the Icebox map. Mid-game, I had to urgently step away from my computer to attend to something in the kitchen. I was only gone for a short time, but during that moment, my character was automatically marked as AFK (inactive).
When I returned, I was shocked to see that not only had I missed a round, but Riot issued a harsh penalty. I received a restriction on playing certain game modes for a full 162 hours—nearly 7 days—simply for one brief AFK incident. To make things worse, my internet also cut out right after, which only made the situation more frustrating.
This was not intentional, nor habitual. I respectfully ask Riot Games to reconsider and lift this excessive ban. I understand the importance of active gameplay and promise to avoid any similar situations in the future. Please review my case and restore my access to the game modes—I believe this punishment is overly severe for an isolated and unintentional AFK event.
