Vakko Complaint For Shifting Return Policy For International Traveller

1

I purchased three pairs of Sanoni shoes and two pairs of Jacob Cohen jeans from a Vakko store in Turkey in August 2025 with a tax-free purchase form, although I never claimed or received any tax refund on this purchase. On 28 August 2025, I emailed Vakko customer service from Oslo asking to return the suede and brown pairs of shoes and both pairs of jeans. The reply I received the same day stated that items purchased with a tax-free form were not eligible for return under any circumstances. On 29 August 2025, after I clarified that I had not claimed the tax refund, Vakko changed its position and informed me that the items could in fact be returned within 30 days, but only at a physical Vakko store in Turkey, with no possibility to use a courier, and that I would need to send them via a friend or relative travelling to Turkey. Because of these contradictory explanations and the lack of a realistic return channel from abroad, I decided to keep the shoes and focus only on returning the Jacob Cohen jeans. I also contacted Jacob Cohen directly, and they confirmed that they could not intervene because the sale was through an authorised retailer, Vakko, and therefore referred me back to Vakko. In December 2025, in order to comply fully with the conditions Vakko itself imposed, I travelled to Istanbul in person and left both pairs of Jacob Cohen jeans at the Vakko store in Zorlu Center together with their original packaging and invoices. Once again, no tax refund had been claimed on these items. Since then, I have not received any clear confirmation of a refund for the jeans, nor any consistent explanation of why the refund has been refused or delayed while Vakko is holding the jeans. I request a clear and final response and a full refund for the Jacob Cohen jeans that I personally returned to the Vakko Zorlu Center store, instead of further contradictory policy statements. I am ready to provide the complete email correspondence, purchase receipts, proof of the in-person return, and the Planet Tax Free form showing that no refund was ever claimed.
