My Vakko Leather Bag is Defective and I Was Denied a Refund

I bought this bag at the end of November 2025. It’s only been eight months. When I bought it, there was a tiny inward dent right here, but over these eight months, it suddenly turned into a severe crease. There is absolutely no user error involved. It hasn't taken a hit or been crushed. If I had damaged it myself, wouldn't the leather be peeling or scuffed? Instead, this collapsing just slowly started developing. I took it to the Vakko store, and they sent it in for inspection, but it came back with a response saying it couldn’t be repaired. This is what the bag looks like from the front. Now, look at this other side. I even told them this side wasn't like this when I dropped it off. Did something happen in the packaging they used? This issue wasn't here before, but look, a slight collapsing has started here too, and it will only get worse over time. When you look at the bag from the front, let me show you—this side looks completely caved in, and from the side, the creasing is entirely visible. I called customer service. By the way, the edge paint on the handle had also worn off; the store fixed that, but they insisted the creasing couldn't be repaired. I explained that after just eight months, this clearly isn't user error but a manufacturing defect. The leather is literally creasing and folding in on itself. When I spoke to the customer representative, they said they would consult with the general manager and get back to me. They later called to inform me that they would not offer an exchange or a refund. The product is clearly defective due to the leather itself. The issue started as a tiny spot when I bought it, and it seems this part just naturally collapses inward over time. It has started on the other side now, and there’s another spot right here. Despite this, they refused any exchange or return. Honestly, this is a very disappointing move that I never would have expected from a brand like Vakko.
