Trivago Charged Me but Can't Find My Reservation

I made an online reservation through Trivago for a one-night stay, checking in on June 21, 2026, and checking out on June 22, 2026, with a 2:00 p.m. check-in and a 12:00 p.m. check-out. I paid approximately $86 for the reservation using my debit card through the website. Later, I realized I had selected the wrong reservation date. I never stayed at the property or used the service, yet my payment has not been refunded.

Even though I provided my reservation number, 72075770518535, Trivago informed me that no reservation could be found under that number. They also claimed that my personal information was incorrect and that they did not have my email address on file. Despite the payment being successfully charged to my card, my reservation cannot be located, and I have been unable to make any progress with the refund process.

Since I never checked in or received the booked accommodation, I request a full refund of the $86 charged to my debit card. I also ask Trivago to investigate why my reservation cannot be found despite the successful payment and to provide a clear explanation of what happened.
