North Face Warranty Claim Denied a Free Swap
On May 9, 2026, I purchased two pairs of The North Face NF0A52Q1K shoes from a store in Konya. Both came with a one-year warranty, but one pair fell apart before the third month was even up. We sent them in for a warranty claim through the store, and the company's inspection confirmed a manufacturing defect.
Despite acknowledging the manufacturing defect, instead of offering a free like-for-like replacement, they offered me a $126 gift card and informed me that the current price of the shoe is $301. In other words, I was told I would need to pay an additional $175 out of pocket to get the same shoe again. I refuse to accept being asked to cover such a large price difference for a product that was officially confirmed to have a manufacturing defect.
The second pair I bought the same day has a completely different issue — the color faded despite never being worn, and it is currently under warranty inspection. Experiencing problems with both pairs this quickly and severely has seriously damaged my trust in The North Face brand.
I am demanding that the first pair — officially confirmed to have a manufacturing defect — be replaced with the same model, free of charge, regardless of its current retail price. I am also demanding that the second pair, which faded without ever being worn, be resolved the same way once the inspection is complete, without any further burden placed on me as the customer. Asking a consumer to pay extra for a warranty replacement on a confirmed manufacturing defect is simply not acceptable behavior from a brand like The North Face.
