SteelSeries Nova 7 Dragon Edition Fails to Deliver 7.1 Surround Sound

November 21, 2024 1:50 AM68

I purchased the SteelSeries Nova 7 Dragon Edition headset, which was advertised as a 7.1 surround sound device. However, it cannot even deliver proper stereo sound. During gameplay, sounds come from all directions without any clarity or indication of their source. This ruins the immersive experience, as directional audio is crucial in games.

I tested the headset using various 7.1, 5.1, and 2.1 audio tests available on YouTube. Even on the basic 2.1 test, the headset outputs identical audio to both sides instead of distinguishing left and right channels.

If this issue stems from a manufacturing defect, I request an immediate replacement of the product. SteelSeries should ensure their premium headsets deliver the promised performance. I hope this problem gets resolved promptly.
