Sixt Rental Car Broke Down After 6 Hours – Charged Full Day Despite Mechanical Issue


I rented a car from Sixt Car Rental in Turkey through the Internet. One day before returning the car, it had a technical problem on the highway. I was very close to Istanbul and Sabiha Gokcen International Airport at the time. The car was a Citroen, and the Citroen dealer arrived and picked up their car within 1.5 hours. However, Sixt made me wait for 5 hours in the middle of the highway, even though I was only 80 km away from the airport. I can't even imagine what I would have gone through if I were farther from the city.
