By default, most Segway-Ninebot models are limited to 25 km/h, which complies with traffic regulations in several countries.
🔹 How the limiter works:
It is embedded in the controller’s firmware.
Removing it completely is only possible through reflashing or third-party software.
In the official Ninebot App, you can only switch between modes (Eco, Drive, Sport), but you cannot raise the factory-set speed limit.
🔹 Options for removing the limit:
Some forums and websites provide modified firmware that allows the scooter to reach 30–35 km/h.
⚠️ However:
This voids the warranty.
It increases the load on the battery and motor.
It raises the risk of overheating and damage.
In some countries, it is illegal.
👉 The best option is to use the built-in modes to maintain safety and warranty coverage.
