If SBI UPI shows an error when making payments and you want to fix it;
Contact SBI Customer Support;
• State that UPI payments are failing with an error
• Provide the UPI app used (BHIM SBI Pay / YONO / Google Pay / PhonePe), error message/code, and date/time of failure
• Mention whether the issue happens for all payments or only specific merchants/UPI IDs
• Attach screenshots of the error screen and any failed transaction references
Ask them to;
• Confirm the reason for the UPI error (daily limit exceeded, account block, technical issue, NPCI outage)
• Reset or unblock UPI services on your account if restricted
• Re-verify your registered mobile number for UPI
• Confirm whether your account, debit card, or UPI profile needs revalidation
• Provide a timeline for when UPI will work normally again
Try these quick fixes first;
• Restart your phone and check mobile network/data (UPI requires stable connectivity)
• Ensure your registered mobile number is active and in the phone
• Update the UPI app to the latest version
• Check whether you’ve hit daily transaction or amount limits
• Remove and re-add your bank account in the UPI app
• Try making a small test payment after re-setup
