Remitly Took 10 Days to Refund My Canceled Transfer Instead of 3 as Promised
Expecting a seamless experience, I tried to send money with Remitly, but it turned into an irritating process. The recipient hadn't gotten the money yet, so I called off the transfer within one hour. Their website states that cancelled transactions should be reimbursed three business days. When I got customer assistance, though, I was informed that processing the cancellation would take five business days plus five more for the refund. This is against to their policy totally. The representatives were unable to explain the delay or even the reason their response time deviated from what they reported on their website. Their lack of openness disappoints me, hence I will hesitate before putting my money under their control once more.
