My Ray-Ban Sunglasses Melted in the Car, and I Got Unacceptable Response

On 05.07.2024, I bought a stylish pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses for 4720.00 TL from Emo Optik at Kayseri Park AVM. Surprisingly, a little over two weeks later, on 21.07.2024, I made the unfortunate discovery that the glasses had melted due to being left in the car, even though they were in their protective case. The frames were in such bad shape that they couldn't be worn. I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if this had occurred while I was in Adana. Would the glasses have melted onto my face?
On 23.07.2024, I went back to Emo Optik in Kayseri Park AVM to address the problem. Regrettably, I encountered a lack of interest. I patiently waited as the staff assured me that they would investigate the matter. After a long wait, I finally received a response on 08.08.2024. They explained that the company was unable to fully grasp the issue based on the photos alone and requested to examine the glasses in person. I sent the glasses, only to receive a response on 13.08.2024 that attributed the issue to heat exposure.
This response left me completely shocked. Why would anyone think that sunglasses need to be stored in a dark and cold place to prevent damage? I selected Ray-Ban, a brand that I thought was dependable and reputable, and invested almost 5,000 TL, only to discover that the product is irreparable. Neither Ray-Ban nor Emo Optik have adequately addressed my concerns or offered a satisfactory solution, forcing me to take the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committees.
I am very disappointed with this experience, and I strongly urge others to exercise caution before entrusting these brands with their valuable funds.
