Repeated Malfunctions in New Peugeot 1.2 Protech 2008
I bought a brand new Peugeot 1.2 Protech 2008 in 2021. When the car reached 2000 kilometers, the dashboard displayed warnings like "Engine Malfunction - Visit Service" and "Transmission Lever Malfunction - Visit Service," as if the brakes were being applied. When the problem recurred, the authorized service center first claimed there were no problems, then recommended a belt replacement, and finally suggested a transmission part change. Simultaneously, they claimed that the factory-fitted brake pads were defective, causing the disc to be scratched, and demanded 6,000 TL for the repair. Despite my concerns about part replacements in a new car, the manufacturer insisted that because the parts were available, a replacement would not be approved. Even after 30,000 kilometers, the car shows no signs of wear, and this flaw is a serious safety concern. I've been constantly delayed by the main office while traveling between Artvin and Trabzon. I'm now dealing with this problem while carrying a child. This has been both financially and emotionally draining. I previously owned a Volkswagen and regret switching to Peugeot. I'm very sorry I bought this car.
