I am writing regarding an unauthorized charge of 196.71 AED made by PDF Guru to my Payit by FAB account on 10 April 2026 at around 1:00 pm UAE time, related to a web subscription. I am based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. On Friday, 3 April, I purchased what was clearly presented as a one-week access on PDF Guru’s website and paid 0.99 USD via Apple Pay. I only intended to use this one-week access and did not consent to any form of automatic renewal or ongoing subscription. At no point did I authorize PDF Guru to charge 196.71 AED, nor was I clearly informed that such a high amount would be taken after the initial one-week period. When I saw the 196.71 AED charge on my Payit by FAB account, I immediately contacted PDF Guru and informed them that I had not authorized this payment and that I had only agreed to a one-week access for 0.99 USD. So far, I have not received any response from PDF Guru. I have not contacted my bank first because they charge a 100 AED fee to process such disputes, which is a significant additional burden on top of the unauthorized amount that has already been taken. I request that PDF Guru immediately cancel any ongoing subscription linked to my account and issue a full refund of the 196.71 AED charged without my explicit consent. I also request that any future charges be blocked and that my account be confirmed as not enrolled in any recurring payments. I expect this matter to be resolved promptly and in writing.
