PDF Guru Charged 214.99 zł for a Subscription I Did Not Know About
I used the Pdf Guru service to download a single file and I was not aware that by doing so I would be activating a paid subscription. I did not see any clear information that a recurring payment of 214,99 zł would be charged to my card. Today I noticed that 214,99 zł was taken from my card for a subscription I never knowingly agreed to. As soon as I realized this, I immediately cancelled the subscription. Afterwards, I contacted Pdf Guru support and asked for a refund, explaining that I did not intend to subscribe and only wanted to download one file. In their reply, Pdf Guru informed me that, according to their refund policy, payments made through their website are non‑refundable and that they therefore would not return my money. They only confirmed that my subscription was cancelled and that no further payments would be taken. I believe this situation is unfair, because the subscription and recurring fee were not clearly communicated and I acted immediately once I saw the charge. I request a full refund of the 214,99 zł taken from my card, as I did not knowingly subscribe to this service.
