Opening an account with Paddy Power, I paid £100 and made several profitable wagers. I went to take my money after winning, only to discover my account had been suspended. Over the past week, I have spent many hours speaking with their support service live chat only to be repeatedly asked for ID verification. Although I have already sent documentation of my ID, residence, and even payment method data, they now demand access to my personal bank statements, which seems intrusive and pointless. These verifications should have been finished before permitting deposits and bets, not after I won if they were so important. This whole process comes out as a calculated delay strategy. Beyond annoyed, I warn people to stay away from Paddy Power.
