Opodo Charged For Unwanted Prime Membership Without Consent
If you make a purchase on Opodo, it is neither visible nor clear that by default, they automatically enroll you in their membership for €119. There is no warning or notice informing customers about the 15-day refund period. They withdrew this amount from my PayPal account simply because I bought a cheap ticket once. Their strategy and policy make it seem like you are automatically bound to this membership, and you cannot cancel it easily. This feels illegal, as I never consented to or signed up for such a service. It is misleading and deceptive marketing, and there appears to be no proper refund policy. I cannot seem to cancel this forced membership that I never agreed to. I truly wonder under what law or authority they operate. I will be reporting this case to the EU Consumer Protection authorities. If anyone knows a faster way to resolve this issue and recover the full amount, please share it here. I am not interested in being trapped by such hidden and unauthorized charges.
