OkCupid Dating Scam Involved Blackmail and Harassment

On June 21, 2026, I was targeted in an attempted scam by individuals I met through the dating platform OKC. Using the phone number 0531*******67, they contacted me on WhatsApp and threatened to send my personal photos to my family and people in my contact list without my permission. They also sent me abusive and insulting messages and clearly violated my privacy by misusing my personal information.

Shortly after that incident, I received another threatening phone call from 0535*******36, where I was subjected to similar intimidation. I am extremely disturbed by the misuse of my personal data, the threats, and the abusive language directed at me. As a result, I no longer feel safe.

I have already filed an official report through Turkey's e-Government portal (e-Devlet). Even so, I request that the appropriate technical and legal investigations be conducted to prevent these same or similar phone numbers from victimizing others. I also ask that action be taken against the individuals responsible and that OKC review and strengthen its measures for detecting and removing accounts used for scams, extortion, and threats.

I also request that the authorities ensure my safety throughout this process, conduct a full investigation into the threats, harassment, and unlawful use of my personal data, identify those responsible, and hold them accountable under the law.
