I had a similar issue yesterday in Turkiye having been notified by an SMS telling me I was charged 764 CAD via TM CANADA. Fortunately my bank denied the payment and I wasn't charged in the end. However, I had to cancel my credit card and ask them to issue another one. I dont know yet if the bank will charge any costs for the card renewal.
