ManyChat automation is not working on Instagram, how can I fix this issue fast?

Most ManyChat Instagram issues come from permissions, account setup, or Meta-side bugs, so you can usually fix them quickly by checking these exact points.

First, make sure your Instagram is a Professional (Creator/Business) account and properly linked to a Facebook Page, because automations won’t run without this connection.

Also verify that “Allow access to messages” is enabled in Instagram settings and then click “Refresh Permissions” in ManyChat, which is one of the most common fixes.

If your automation still doesn’t trigger, check the flow itself—ensure it’s set to “Live,” has no empty blocks, and doesn’t use paid features on a free plan, since these can silently break automations.

Also keep in mind platform limitations: Instagram automations often trigger only once per user per post, so repeated tests with the same account won’t fire again and may look broken.
