I purchased the LG 50QNED816RE TV expecting reliable quality, but I was shocked when the right-center area of the screen began darkening due to localized overheating. This issue developed on its own—no impact or misuse occurred.
On May 17, 2025, LG's authorized service team visited and acknowledged that such faults can happen. They took the TV for further inspection. But just two days later, on May 19, I was told that the issue was allegedly caused by physical damage and that the repair would not be covered under warranty. They also required a service fee just to receive the official report, which I paid in order to pursue my complaint.
As visible in the photographs, there is absolutely no evidence of external damage. The darkened patch spread gradually, caused by internal heat deformation—a clear manufacturing or component defect.
I’m calling on LG to honor its warranty and stand behind the product. I expect the panel to be replaced at no cost, as this issue is clearly not user-related. LG, show your customers that you still deserve their trust. Fix this under warranty as you should.
