LG TV Remote Malfunction & Auto-Power Issue - Seeking Warranty Support
After 10 years of using a Samsung TV, we decided on an LG for our new TV, but we are regretting this decision. It has only been 2-3 months since purchasing this TV, and we have two issues with it. The first issue is the remote control, which is not working all the time, but this is not a problem as they are able to replace the remote control. The second and major issue we are facing with our TV is it switches on by itself at random times. I called LG customer service and was forwarded to the company who will come to look at the problem. I called the company, and they mentioned if they are able to see this problem when they come to inspect the TV, I mentioned it happens randomly, so there is no way I can show you unless it happens at that point. They said the most they can do is take the TV in for 10-15 days and see if it happens, and if it does not happen, they will charge a service fee. I called LG customer support again and mentioned what the service company said, and they mentioned nothing could be done. I am telling them there is a problem; I can't prove it; I can't take a video of it as I do not know when it switches on by itself, so they are not providing any solutions at the moment. Purchasing the LG TV was a mistake, and I do not recommend anyone. Stick to Samsung as the TV is faulty, and more than that LG customer service does not care about the problem or does not help to find a solution.
