Ledger Live won’t let me install a cryptocurrency app due to insufficient storage. How can I free up space on the device?

If Ledger Live says there isn’t enough storage to install a crypto app, here’s what to do:

Understand the limitation.
Ledger devices have limited internal memory, so only a certain number of coin apps can be installed at the same time.

Uninstall unused apps.
Open Ledger Live → Manager → remove apps for coins you’re not currently using.
Important: Deleting an app does not delete your funds. Your assets remain safely on the blockchain.

Reinstall anytime.
When you need access again, simply reinstall the app via Manager and re-add the account. Your balances will reappear after synchronization.

Update firmware.
Sometimes firmware updates improve memory optimization. Check if an update is available.

Consider your device model.
Nano S has less storage than Nano S Plus or Nano X. If you use many networks, a higher-capacity model may be more convenient.
